Singapore Flying Course for Students

October-29-2008

To start flying in Singapore is not a dream for commoners anymore. As a good alternative to flying club, one of the schools, Temasek Polytechnic, situated in the east of Singapore island, the campus sits on a 30-hectare plot of land fronting the Bedok Reservoir, is offering full-time course on Diploma in Aviation Management & Services for youth flying.

Beside learning the knowledge related to aviation industry and airport management, Singapore flying course student will have the chance to step into the aircraft cockpit to experience flying in Singapore. Also to the flying simulator situated at the Singapore Flyer located in 30, Raffles Avenue. The Singapore Flyer is the world’s largest giant observation wheel that brings you up to the height of 165m for scenery viewing.

The school collaborates with a flying club situated in Johore, Malaysia named Flughaven to bring the most out for the students. Incorporated by three Singaporeans, Flughaven originally was a small flying club, eventually turned out to be a flying school for publics and students. Approaching to the flying club located at Nusajaya, Johore from Singapore’s Tuas Causeway needs only approximately ten minutes. Uitilizing fuel saving aircrafts and cheaper rental rates, it offers more affordable learning fees to the public.

Getting a Restricted Private Pilot Licence (RPPL) needs only $8000, fees half slashed compared to the Singapore Flying Club according to the newspaper’s reviews. Currently students from Temasek Polytechnic and National University of Singapore are participating to their courses.

Additionally, it offers Flight Experience event for public who does not have pilot licence but yet wish to experience exciting flying procedures; getting up the sky with the lead of trained pilots.
